On this video shoot I used a .74 gauge ½ string tuned down to C. The other six string gauges are .54 to .11 are tuned down 1 whole step. As you can hear, it’s a really Deep- Bassy- Phat sound. Furthermore, you can still drop the ½ string down 1-1/2 steps lower to A. Since this ½ string starts at the 5th fret it is a natural for playing up the neck. With a little bit of imagination and thinking “outside the box” the possibilities are endless.
